Why is the mainstream media covering for Ann Romney?

For the record, what Ann Romney actually said was:

We’ve given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and how we live our life.

If a Michelle Obama quote about being really proud of her country for the first time as an adult can be repeated over and over on every news station in the country, but the words of Ann Romney are changed (in two different ways!) to reflect a less-inflammatory sentiment, then I’m sorry, but all the “liberal media” cards have now been removed from the deck. Of course, this leaves the deck empty.
